Terran have been statistically the worst so far :P

They're bad against protoss for the most part if the protoss player is any good, but they're excellent against zerg from what I've seen or read. MnM is a no brainer now. It takes no skill macro or micro.

PvZ is really broken from what I've read as well. How have you been fairing with that? Also which ladder are you on? I've heard that some issues protoss players have been having against zerg is that it now takes 3 zealots to block a choke, the queens ability to quickly spawn more larvae, and the zerg's ability to change tech so quickly. Supposedly the zerg are basically given a FE versus protoss because the protoss player cannot get out enough zealots fast enough to counter the initial rush of zerglings. People have suggested walling off all but a small part of the choke to be held by a single zealot but even then the zerglings can just attack the buildings and if the zealot comes out to attack them they will just run past it into the base. And since the queen lets them build more lings faster they can keep up the push essentially containing the protoss player long enough to FE. Then they can switch techs to hydras or mutas very quickly and hold in the protoss for even longer while they gain map control. People have also suggested to add stalkers or sentries to the zealot and building wall but that requires getting up a core before the attack, which is all near impossible. What is your take on all this?

I'm in the platinum league--was as high as #2 in my division at one point but haven't played ranked matches much lately.

No matchup seems broken at the moment. I've seen both claims of "PvZ is impossible to win" and "ZvP is impossible to win." Right now there is no established metagame and both races *seem* unstoppable from the perspective of certain BOs.

Protoss can block a choke with 1 zealot and a building.

Zerg FE is not free. In fact aggressive zealot play is almost guaranteed to stop it. However, aggressive zealot play is an auto-loss against any roach build. This is where the meta-game and BO losses come in. I play zerg and early lings don't really do much for me; it's straight to roaches or hydras.

ZvT has felt very easy for me so far, but like I said there's very little metagame right now so playstyle can have a big impact.

This is starting to get annoying, I get a different answer from everyone I talk to. I really hope I get into the beta soon so I can actually find out for myself haha
So do you find that all these hard counters detract from the game play the way they appear to do?

Yeah everyone seems to have their own opinion. Like I said there are tons of multiple contradicting claims that such and such is unstoppable.

As far as hard counters go, it's mostly just the immortal in my experience. A lot of other things are in the right place but then there's a few key units that flip everything upside down like how the immortal interracts with roach/ghost/tank.

If you need a place for your invite, I'd be interested in trying it. Always enjoyed starcraft.

I don't have any Blizzard games (deleted WoW) so I won't get access - no battle.net account I think.

Yeah I did, I hooked my friend menacing up with it, he said that the key came up as invalid. It's something Blizzard is working on fixing right now :|
