UT is the classic game that gamers of every shape and form can all find a home in playing. Anyone and everyone who has a computer can play UT as it doesnt require uber fancy graphics etc and it will get your heart racing as much or more than any other game. UT offers a unique gaming experience that is as serious as it is relaxed which is not something that can or will be matched.
Call of Duty is the tried and true series for FPS gamers and version 4 is a step above the rest. Moving out of the World War II era call of duty 4 offers more ways to get your adrenaline rusing using modern weapons systems and classes.
Call of Duty 4 is highly competitive and as such makes a great game for LAN tournament play as well as open play. On top of that it runs extremely well on a wide variety of systems leaving it open to play even for those without the most cutting edge of systems!
We play Counter-Strike because it is a very refined and balanced game in which skill and practice play a large factor. SLP is full of people who play CS often and with each other on our great SLP CS server.
SLP plays on a general default map rotation including the classic de_dust2 and sometimes if we are up for some speed play, we switch it to fy_iceworld. CS is a great game to pickup because it can run on nearly any computer, and has a great variety of fun and excitement. Teamwork will almost always prevail and that is why we love playing together and taking out the opposing force as a team.
We play Call of Duty 2 because it demands a high level of skill and precision, the more you play the better you get. It's really true that practice makes perfect!
SLP does not continually run our Call of Duty 2 server now that Call of Duty 4 is out however it is still ready to start up at a moments notice if someone has got a hankering for some old school bolt action or eXtreme CTF!
We fell in love with the many aspects of this game. Its front is a standard SWAT emulation game however it ads in many factors that are different than anything else we have every played. If you have ever played the single player you know the goose bumps it will give you!
The game itself is very graphically intense and has the ability to provide that oh so wonderful computer eye candy for those with systems that can show all of the goodies. It is an overall well rounded game providing fun game play for groups of people as well as all of the frilly stuff we look for in new games. Oh yeah, did we mention that its free?
